Untitled (unknown date)

She speaks a sleep voice soft
saying summer night and morning
dust at day and earth all still.

Breathing deeply slow the Mexico of her talking
is Spanish Town on English tongue
and lips in gentle round saying;
cotton, clove and quiet bird,
saffron boy and dog in glove.

She is water swum with reedgrass green and blue
and hearing of her white building, her single bell
I am wanting, walking in I wish.
