About crockery (and America after Hearst)

I’m eating salami and cheese
off of a dinner plate made in 1963
which features scenes from the Hearst mansion
in San Simeon, California.

With it’s pictures like my television
its golden borders broken
I’m remembering that history
is constantly being re-written here.
Even amongst the crockery manufacturers.
