There is no parking in Europe

Odd really
as the cars
are mostly small

and if the many
twisted old roads
were untangled
from each other
(straightened out)

they would be seen
to be long and thus
apparently well-suited
to the provision of parking.
But no

there is no parking
in Europe
except pretty much
for underground
where there are

stadia of spaces
all side by side
and going on forever
beneath cheaper versions
of halogen light

the exact details of which
(as regards invention)
were never shared
with the Americans
in particular.

I suspect that the Japanese
(and Koreans also)
employ this same technology
but they have always kept
their secrets well.
